The mission of the National Institute on Aging (NIA) IMbedded Pragmatic Alzheimers disease (AD) and AD Related Dementias (AD/ADRD) Clinical Trials (IMPACT) Collaboratory is build the nation’s capacity to conduct pragmatic clinical trials of interventions embedded within health care systems for people living with dementia and their caregivers. The work of the IMPACT Collaboratory is accomplished by a coordinated effort of multidisciplinary experts from across the nation organized into 10 Working Cores Groups and experts in the field. The Implementation Core, led by Dean Gitlin contributes to the overall mission of the IMPACT Collaboratory to build the nation’s capacity to conduct pragmatic clinical trials of interventions embedded within health care systems for persons living with dementia (PLWD) and their caregivers. Specifically, the D&I Core will focus on providing technical assistance as it concerns implementing and disseminating dementia care interventions in the context of ePCTs and optimizing the potential for integrating the intervention into health care systems.
